Illiquid markets
In illiquid markets, PGGM looks for investment opportunities for its client with a high ESG score, for example in sustainable forestry, climate projects, renewable energy infrastructure and ‘clean-technology’ private equity. By making themed investments of this kind, we aim to generate a social return within the financial constraints imposed by fiduciary responsibilities. We define ‘social return’ here as the positive ESG effects of our responsible investment policy.
