Gerko Baarslag
Chief Information Officer
After studying Sociology at the University of Amsterdam, I started working as a consultant at PwC, first in the Netherlands and later in London.
In 2000 I moved back to the Netherlands and had final responsibility at various companies as (interim) IT manager at, for example, Ziggo, Eneco and ONVZ Zorgverzekeraar. In 2015 I made the switch to Fugro and I had final responsibility for IT and Digitisation worldwide in more than 60 countries. Membership of PGGM’s Executive Committee is a welcome new challenge for me.
I am married and have one daughter. We love to travel. I also play a lot of sports and am learning to play the guitar. I am a supervisor at the Bureau ICT Toetsing (BIT) and I also give guest lectures on Digitisation at Nyenrode and TIAS.
