Executive Board Member: Willem Jan Brinkman, Chief Financial & Risk Officer
After completing my Economics studies at the University of Groningen, I began my career in the Treasury department at NIBC in The Hague. I then moved to ABP, where I worked as an investment manager for the structured finance portfolio. After that, I joined KPMG, where I spent thirteen years, and since 2009 I worked as a partner in the Mergers & Acquisitions division.
In 2015, I became the CFRO of the Dutch Investment Institution N.V. on behalf of PGGM. This institution was established with the social objective of mobilising more institutional capital for investments in the Netherlands. This resulted in the creation of new investment funds for SME credit, healthcare real estate, and science parks. Since then, I have held various roles within PGGM, allowing me to gain a deep understanding of the organisation and its clients. In the role of CFRO at PGGM, this knowledge and experience come together in a meaningful way.
I live with my wife and three sons in Utrecht. In addition to a lifelong interest in history, I enjoy sports and like to play the piano in the evenings.
