Jeroen de Munnik was born in Hengelo and studied Econometrics at Erasmus University Rotterdam, where he also received his doctorate. He started at AEGON Nederland in 1993, where he held a number of positions.
In 2008 he joined AEGON Nederland’s management board, becoming responsible for AEGON’s entire pension business. At the end of 2012 Jeroen de Munnik decided to leave AEGON, after more than 19 years with the company, and take a sabbatical and explore his options for a new step in his career. This step turned out to be PGGM.
Else Bos is happy with Jeroen de Munnik’s decision: ”After an intensive recruitment and selection procedure which involved a number of candidates, Jeroen convincingly stood out as the new Chief of Institutional Business. He has expertise in our field and experience that ties in well with our ambitions and our key values and core qualities. He complements the other members of the EC well in the phase where PGGM is at the moment”.
