Your role

Together with the Manager Business Management, Senior Partnership Manager, and Secretary, you serve as a central link in the strategic partnership between PFZW and PGGM. You share responsibility for managing all aspects of the relationship with the PFZW Bestuursbureau, the PFZW Investment Committee, and overseeing contract management.

In this associate role, you bring knowledge of the asset management domain and maintain operational contact with both the Bestuursbureau and the Investment Committee. You stay informed about developments within the Investment Management domain and ensure that PFZW’s needs and priorities are clearly communicated within PGGM.

Within the triangle of Business, Finance & Control, and Partnership Management, you manage the contract between PFZW and PGGM. You safeguard agreements and help resolve bottlenecks by facilitating effective dialogue between PGGM and PFZW.

You also assist in preparing and following up on meetings of the PFZW Investment Committee (Commissie Beleggingen). You are fluent in both Dutch and English, in speech and writing.

 Key responsibilities

  • Support the preparation and follow-up of Investment Committee meetings, based on the CB calendar and product approval process.
  • Coordinate and process inquiries and input on relevant change activities from PFZW and PGGM, directing them to the appropriate teams or individuals, and monitoring progress toward resolution.
  • Organise and support the consultation structure with PFZW, including agenda setting, stakeholder coordination, and follow-up on deliverables.
  • Coordinate the accountability reporting process by preparing meetings, gathering and validating content, and supporting reporting on both investment and business management topics.
  • Execute contract and SLA management tasks, in collaboration with relevant stakeholders within PGGM, by maintaining documentation, coordinating with Legal and Procurement, and supporting the monitoring and updating of contractual agreements between PFZW and PGGM.
  • Coordinate and support third-party evaluation activities, including logistics, liaison with internal teams, and follow-up on proposed improvements.

Your department

Business Management is a newly established department within PGGM Investments, bringing together key cross-functional roles that support our investment management value chain in driving strategic change.

As Associate Partnership Manager, you report to the Head of Business Management. The team consists of three areas of expertise:

  • Partnership Management and Evaluation – Responsible for strategic collaboration with PFZW, shaping governance agreements, and evaluating PGGM IM’s products and services.
  • Management Consultants and Corporate Secretariat – Provide strategic support to the IM Board, prepare decision-making, and translate strategy into implementation and advice.
  • Executive Assistants – Serve as the organisational hub for PGGM IM’s management, focusing on planning, support, and connection both within and outside the management team.

By integrating these functions, the Business Management team plays a central role in connecting strategy, execution, and governance—advancing PGGM Investment Management’s ambitions in close collaboration with PFZW.

Your profile

We are looking for a candidate who understands the dynamics of the investment management industry and is motivated to contribute to a strategic partnership at the heart of PGGM Investment Management. You are a structured, communicative, and hands-on professional who thrives in a stakeholder-rich environment.

With a strong sense of responsibility and natural curiosity, you support the partnership with PFZW across a wide range of topics. This includes governance, reporting, contract management, and relationship management.

You are well-organised and able to maintain oversight when managing multiple priorities. Confident in your communication, you are fluent in both Dutch and English and skilled at navigating sensitive governance environments and boardroom dynamics.

You know when to take the lead and when to provide support, and you are eager to further develop your knowledge of investment management and stakeholder management by working closely with PFZW and the IM Board.

In this role, you contribute directly to strengthening the partnership between PFZW and PGGM, combining attention to detail with the ability to see the bigger picture.

  • Academic working and thinking level, preferably with a Master’s degree.
  • 3–5 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
  • Knowledge of investment processes in a pension fund context is an advantage.
