Your role

The Junior Analyst role in the Listed Real Estate (LRE) team is a great opportunity for a starter eager to grow in a dynamic investment environment. You will be part of a diverse, and international team of 15 experienced professionals. In this role, you will support multiple regions by analyzing listed real estate companies. Your work will focus on both the valuation of the underlying real estate portfolios and the way these companies are priced and traded in public markets.

 

Your role

The Junior Analyst role in the LRE team is an exciting opportunity for a starter who is up for a steep learning curve. You will be working in a diverse, international team of experienced investment specialists.

 

Your job consists of:

·      Conducting in-depth quantitative and qualitative analyses of companies, real estate markets, and energy transition risks to inform investment decisions and support the PM in the underwriting of listed real estate companies;

·      Developing, maintaining, and refining financial valuation models, incorporating feedback from team discussions to ensure accurate and timely insights;

·      Collaborating closely with portfolio managers and other team members to align analysis with investment objectives.

PGGM is a Dutch pension fund service provider responsible for managing the pensions for different pension funds, their affiliated employers and employees. With € 250 billion under management, PGGM is one of the biggest and most sustainable investors globally.

PGGM is one of the leading global investors in Real Estate. As part of PfZW’s real estate allocation, the Listed Real Estate (LRE) department manages a global portfolio of listed real estate investments totaling €5 billion.

Your profile

We do not expect candidates to have direct prior experience (although any related experience will be an advantage). However, we do require that you are very curious by nature, eager to learn, precise and good with numbers!

The ideal candidate:

·      Has 0-3 years of relevant professional experience in finance, asset management and/or real estate;

·      Has a master’s degree with excellent grades in Finance, Real Estate, Economics, and/or other relevant fields;

·      Has advanced Excel and financial modelling skills. Programming skills are considered a strong advantage;

·      Is familiar with employing various valuation techniques, including but not limited to: cash flows and forward earnings estimates, discounted cash flow (DCF) analyses, internal rate of return (IRR) calculations and net asset value (NAV) estimates;

·      Has strong analytical skills, both qualitative and quantitative, and is a fast learner;

·      Is pro-active, precise and has strong attention to detail;

·      Is fluent in English, both spoken and written.

  • A gross monthly salary in scale 14 between €4.171 and €5.900 based on 36 hours, depending on your knowledge and experience.
