We are looking for a Data Specialist with experience to join our Data Management team within Asset Management, with a focus on ESG data. In this role, you’ll analyze various types of data and advise our organization on data matters, enabling well-informed decisions that contribute to sustainable value creation.

To further shape our 3D strategy, we are seeking an ESG Data Specialist who can translate ESG data into clear insights and robust recommendations. You ensure the availability, quality, and interpretation of ESG information. Together, we build a future where data makes a difference for both pensions and the planet.
Jouw afdeling binnen PGGM
As a Data Specialist, you will be part of the Asset Management Data Management team and work closely with various teams across our organization. Your main responsibilities include:
· Analyzing data: Perform in-depth analyses of complex datasets to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, translating them into actionable insights for our investment teams. The focus is strongly on ESG data, Market Data, and Master Data.
· Supporting strategic decision-making: Translate your analyses into strategic advice and collaborate with senior management to develop data-driven strategies, including ESG and market data analyses aligned with PGGM’s long-term goals.
· Developing innovative data solutions: Identify and implement innovative solutions within data management and optimize processes within the Data Management team. This includes designing and developing data products in Snowflake.
· Designing and validating data: Improve data quality by developing and executing robust data validation processes. Collaborate with data vendors to ensure high-quality ESG, market, and master data.
· Managing stakeholder relationships: Maintain and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders. You act as a key link between departments and ensure effective communication and collaboration on data-related topics.
· Contributing to knowledge development: Actively share your expertise and insights to strengthen data knowledge within PGGM, and serve as a thought leader in your field.
Jouw achtergrond
You are a results-driven professional with a passion for data and data-driven decision making. You also bring:
· A completed Bachelor’s/Master’s degree with 5+ years of experience in data analysis and asset management.
· In-depth knowledge of data management and analysis methods, preferably with ESG data experience in an asset management setting.
· Strong analytical skills and experience working with large, complex datasets.
· Experience with modern data solutions and platforms, such as Snowflake and DBT.
· Excellent communication skills and experience managing relationships at a strategic level.
· A proactive attitude and change management skills within a complex organization.
· Knowledge of SQL.
· Experience in asset management or a financial institution.
Nice to have:
· Motivation letter.
· Familiarity with Agile/Scrum/DevOps.
· Knowledge of Python, particularly for data-related purposes.
