Portfolio and Risk Analyst – Listed Real Estate

PGGM’s Listed Real Estate (LRE) team is looking for a Portfolio and Risk Analyst. In this role, you will support the team with day-to-day operational tasks and contribute to portfolio insights. Your tasks include building dashboards to monitor portfolio performance, supporting trade execution and settlement processes, and gathering, analyzing, and visualizing market and company data to inform investment decisions.

This role in the LRE team is an exciting opportunity for a self-starter who is up for a steep learning curve. You will be working in a diverse and international team of experienced investment specialists. Through this role you will gain first-hand exposure in working in a front-office investment team.

Your job responsibilities consist of:

-     Maintaining, operating the portfolio optimization tool, including preparing required inputs in coordination with relevant teams within PGGM.

-     Creating and maintaining dashboards and visualizations to monitor portfolio performance, risk exposures and positioning.

-     Monitoring and managing portfolio cash settlement and cash positioning.

-     Support portfolio managers with quantitative and qualitative analyses to inform investment decisions and improve underwriting of listed real estate companies.

-     Taking responsibility of portfolio reporting to (external) stakeholders on metrics related to sustainability, risk and return.

We are looking for individuals with strong quantitative and interpersonal skills with an interest in equity investing, real estate and data science. The ideal candidate has:

-     A completed bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline. This could be in finance, accounting, data science, computer science, or a related field.

-     A demonstrated interest in financial markets, investments, IT processes and data analytics

-     Strong analytical skills and is a fast learner

-     Experience in a relevant programming language (such as Python, R or SQL), or a strong willingness to learn

-     Has experience with, or a strong willingness to learn, data visualization tools such as PowerBI to effectively visualize analytical insights
